New J. Dilla Tribute Shirt and Mixtape to Raise Money for Lupus Research, Goes on Sale Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Midnight (CST)
Still riding a high from the February 5, 2010 Dilla Tribute at the Bronx Museum for the Arts, Rachael Spiewak of Fallen Arrows Print and Design approached the company in March about producing a Dilla tribute shirt. After getting a resounding “Hell Yeah,” she recruited Chris Cooper of Madd Bananaz to dream up and create the design: J. Dilla’s face made from a collage of album covers.
The shirts, along with crew neck sweatshirts, go on sale on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at midnight (CST).
Five dollars from each sale will be donated to Alliance for Lupus Research in J. Dilla’s honor.
Order can be placed here.
Everyone is invited to download and enjoy the design’s companion mixtape, produced by Coolaide (Download here).
It’s perfect for your Lupus Walk training routine.
